Again.......not for me!
For her!
She and I....
errrrr....
Her and I.....
ummm....
She and me....
grrrrrrr.....
Lori and I will be leaving in 16 days!
Can't wait.
Can't wait.
Can't wait.
Whose coming with us?
I thought it'd be fun to link a bunch of blogs up on my sidebar of those of us that will be traveling at the same time. I did this when we traveled for Jacob and Joey and it was supah fun to read everyone else's accounts of their day.
Bring it on people's.
See you soon!
In the meantime I'll be in the closet sucking my thumb.
Airplanes and I are not good friends.
(Yes....I am married to a pilot. Don't judge. At least I'm not married to a pastor and afraid to go to church.....that'd be really embarassing.)
And I have never, ever, ever been away from my kids that long.
Sob.
Sniffle.
Sob.

I'm still a possibility! I refuse to give up hope yet even if we only bump into each other at the airport.
ReplyDeleteWhat airline? Might I please suggest Korean Air?! It's superb! You'll love it... SO much better than our airlines. I promise! I don't like to fly either but KA was awesome! So excited for you!!! Are they a Lifeline family?
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh, lightbulb! It's really about leaving the tribe! It's all good and they will never take you for granted again! At least not for a week or so. What a great family and husband you have. They will do great!
ReplyDeleteDuuuuuuuuuuude,
ReplyDeleteI can so identify with your fear of flying. I loathe it. Once, I sang Jesus loves me all the way from Tulsa to St. Louis---outloud. I said it was for the baby (who was FINE). I'm sure everyone was so glad when my crazy self got off that plane.
After 9/11, I didn't fly until we went to China, in 2009, to bring Maisy home. We flew in torrential rain leaving OKC for Newark. Had some lovely turbulence on the flight to Beijing and then waited for 4 hours on the tarmac leaving Beijing for Nanjing while I watched them de-ice the wing. It was a blizzard. But, the good thing was, by that time, I was so excited to get Maisy I told The Lord, "Even if you fly me there upside-down, I'm ready!" I just want my baby!!!!
I'm terrified of flying alone (SOON!!!) to get Patrick. But, just like you, I won't be alone. The same God who controls the waves of the sea, controls the sky and everything in it. Just rest in His hand.
Have a GREAT TIME!!!!
Amy (Patrick's Mom)
Waiting on TA - it will be 2 weeks tomorrow. Hoping that I'll be getting a phone call in the next couple of days! If we leave when you leave, we will meet our son on his 10th birthday!
