Whew.
For something so incredibly tiny he can melt down like nobody's biness.
But.
But there is redemption here.
Here.
And now.
And always.
And forever more.
Repeat to myself 8 gazillion times......ahem.
He was sent to time out/time in/insert adoptive politically correct term here
And I left the house.
My sanity,
and his well being
depended on it.
I came home and found out that he had,
after awhile.....

Oh my gracious, Sonia, I'd be smothering him with kisses right now! Of course, that's what comes with raising girls. You, of course, would be too smart for that!
ReplyDeleteOh, my heart! You just gotta love that little guy! He is listening...and Hearing!
ReplyDeleteseriously? seriously! momma, you are doing a great job.
ReplyDeletelove this. go God! Go Mom! keep pressing on, you are making a difference.
i think you are so cool too
Gracious me! Sweetness!!! Be so thankful that his heart is towards his mom and dad. What a wonderful gift!
ReplyDeleteI cant stop laughing. and smiling. That is just the cutest thing ever!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet...and so (unintentionally) funny at places, too!
ReplyDeleteI have some of the most precious apology notes from a little guy I taught - I saved a few with some other special things from the class I taught that year. They were along the same lines and SUCH treasures.
I think that little guy captured my heart, at first, because he was the same age, adopted from the same place as my youngest cousin, and they looked so very much alike at that time - but then it was that sweet heart (and the precious notes) that won me over for good!
He was a little one God kept saying to pray for even years after I taught him...that He had big things in store for this little guy and his (sometimes impulsive) boldness and convictions. What a joy when I finally found his mom on FB a few years ago and found out he was leading worship at two churches and walking so closely with the Lord. God had used all the things that sometimes got him in trouble when he was a little one and was using them for His glory!
All those apology notes, and please pray I'll make the right choice notes, and times praying together at school - what a gift to see He was one God really HAD had some really special plans for and a unique calling on his life.
I have no doubt the same is true with your kiddos!
Oh how precious is he!!!
ReplyDeleteReflection of a great job parenting!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, be still my hart! He has always melted me! How could anyone ever "for get" him? (Forgive, yes.) And only you would be able to be such a good (really cool) mom to not let his adorableness get in the way of correction.
ReplyDeleteBlessings...
He was "lisening" Glad to hear some other moms need to leave the house for a walk at times. It gives the kid some time to write wonderful notes :^)
ReplyDeleteOh wow...so precious! What a tender heart to realize he was wrong and to ask forgiveness! Great job Mom and Dad!
ReplyDeleteOh My Goodness... that is so so cute! I read every word of those adorable letters- you gotta keep them!
ReplyDeleteYou know he said you were cool!
Lucky you! I have not reached that status yet!
The letters I mean... of course your gonna keep the kids!!
ReplyDeleteGood Job! I may have to come to you for parenting advise!
