It is with great love and a humble heart that we introduce you to our seventh son.
He's 7.
He's sweet.
And he's dying of a complicated un-repaired heart defect.
My friend Jean had been advocating for him
and one look at that precious little blue face had me doing the same.
But God.
God is funny like that.
When you think it's someone else......
it
could
be
you.
It could be you that has a dossier already in place & available to re-use.
It could be you with the available medical care & coverage to try and treat him.
It could be you with still-current fingerprints.
It could be you that can get to him rather quickly.
It could be you HE is asking no matter how insanely busy you are at the moment.
It could be you.
Or it could be me.
This time....
it's me.
So here we are.
Racing against the clock and {hopefully} very quickly about to bring home our precious boy.
Updated home study almost complete, and we should be submitting to USCIS* sometime in the next two weeks.
After that, we hope for some lightning fast approvals.
More soon.
But in the meantime we covet your prayers for him that his life will be sustained until
we
can
get
him
home
and get him the medical care he urgently needs.
This child has waited for so long for someone to love him and we hope to have the honor and privilege of doing so no matter how many
days
months
or years
he has left on this earth.
There's one less orphan in the world tonight.
One.
Less.
Soli De Gloria.

ReplyDeleteWOW!! YOU ARE ALL AN AMAZING EXAMPLE FOR UNCONDITIONAL LOVE!! I WILL KEEP YOU IN MY PRAYERS!!
ReplyDeleteSweet, sweet baby boy . . . Oh Lord, I pray that you would sustain this little man's heart as He waits. Hide him under the shadow of your wing Lord and protect his heart and his health. I ask for paperwork miracles to get him home quickly, and for favor from all involved. I ask Lord for peace for Sonia and John in the midst of ALL that they are in the middle of, including two new sons already, and a big ol' move. Father I ask that even now you would begin lining up the medical team that will take care of Sonia and John's precious seventh son. Cover every detail Lord. I pray for the funds needed for the return trip to China, Lord--that You would prove yourself again as the great Provider! Lord, this is BIG, but it's not too big for you. I pray for strength, both emotional and physical, for Sonia as she faces this crazy busy time. Surround her Lord with your love, and with all of the help that she needs to make life happen daily. Love on her Lord, and remind her that you would not have asked her to do this if you weren't gonna be there to back her up! Father we are asking you for a miracle for this little "J"--make him strong Father, and let him know in his heart that help is on the way! In Jesus' name, Amen!
ReplyDeleteLove you Sonia, praying hard . . .
