Just So Ya Know

Orientation is finished.....Amen and amen.
I know the mission statement
and the vision statement
and the fire drill protocol
and the actual fire protocol
and infectious diseases protocol
and Ebola protocol
and the safety protocol
and the protocol protocol.

And thank you for everyone that gave me their favorite recipes as I start this whole working for a living thing.
Today one of the boys had a pop tart and bag of chips for dinner before his baseball game so I'd say it's going pretty well.

Yeah.

No it's not.
I left the house this morning at 6:30am
and arrived back home at 8:35pm.
Work-to two baseball games at two different fields-to home.....
I reckon it's gonna take some time to get my feet underneath me and figure this out.
So in the meantime.....a poptart won't kill him right?

Right?
Hello?
Bueller?
Anyone?
Please tell me he will be ok.

Working moms.
You.Are.Awesome. and I want to be like you when I grow up.

Stay at home moms.
You. Are. Awesome. And I want to be like you when I grow up.
I think I'm having an identity crisis.

That is all.

  2. After a 16 month hiatus from all things bloggy, I am timidly dipping my toes back in. (I left due to serious cyber-stalking and cyber-harassment.) I enjoyed catching up with you today, and saw that you had been "gone" much of that time, as well.

Last July, I hung up my yoga pants (or folded them up and stashed them away) and bought some "business attire" and went to work full time for the first time in 28+ years. In September, I hung up my homeschool "hat" and put my kids on a school bus for the first time in 24 years.

My job, that was supposed to be "full-time" yet "flexible" . . , quickly turned in to 60 hours per week and "not so flexible". I hung in there for 7 months . . . and about collapsed from stress and exhaustion. While I loved the ministry that I worked for, and loved much of the work that I did, the "dysfunctional management" just about killed me. As of 2 weeks ago . . . I am a full-time stay-at-home Mama again and LOVING it!!!

Hope your new job goes better than mine did. And . . . pop tarts work just fine (or a box of Mac & Cheese with hot dogs).

    blessings!!!
    (Mama of 12)
