  6. Nearly as expensive as going to college, I'm refusing to buy any textbooks! I'll just go in early and read them in the library. LOL Who can afford £500 for books? No one! Food has to come first for me. lol

And I thought £25 for a science calculator was bad........ lol

Surprised school doesn't provide textbooks...mine did but maybe they go to private school? Mine was funded by the public. Thankfully. lol

  7. I am impressed you only have to buy 4 pairs of shoes - luckily Keens were 1/2 price on zulily this weekend~ The preschool to 1st crowd - I am sure I bought enough kleenex, wipes and sanitizer that if one of them gets sick I am going to scream!

  8. OH Gracious!! Okay, so let's look at the bright side...AP Class..maybe he will earn some college credit? But, since when do the schools not provide the AP books free of charge? When I was in high school I could have sworn they gave us our AP books...of course that was a couple of years ago ;-)

  9. I pay $600 a month for preschool for my little three (which is actually crazy cheap around here) and I still had to spend about $300 on school supplies for them.

Oh, and the first grader was another $100 - even after I refused to buy her a new backpack or lunch box.

And we're getting ready to add number five! So it's just going to keep getting higher every school year. I feel your pain.

Good thing I like my kids.

  10. I feel your pain! I probably spent half that amount on my daughter's clothes alone! I spent 330 dollars on my 2 boys shoes alone-they have really big feet! So big that I can't find their size in the store! Also, I have not finished buying the boys their school clothes-so I may surpass you in the pain dept! LOL

  11. We spent $585 just registering our kids at school and paying said fees. Haven't even tackled the school supply lists yet. Ugh pocketbook is feeling the pain.

    Hugs,
    Robin

  12. Ummm...I'm thinking you should have added a bottle of wine to that list. It wouldn't have made the school supplies any cheaper, but you might have felt better about it by night's end. :)
