Yesterday we went to church.
In China.
Yesterday we went to church in China.
Oh.
My.
Goodness.
Sob.
Nothing like it.
There is no thing like worshiping with other believers in the country where three of your children were born.
Three children who had never heard the name of Jesus before they came to us.
Sob.
It was all I could do to look around when they were singing in Mandarin and not just lose it right there.
I had some great conversation about Christianity here with a guy sitting behind me.
I had a rather odd conversation with our guide when she was saying that the government of this country said the people have free religion.
Ummmm yeah.
The harvest is plentiful folks.
P.L.E.N.T.I.F.U.L.
He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Mark 16:15
All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate the
people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the
goats. Matthew 25:32
He told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask
the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest
field. Luke 10:2
Here I am Lord. Send me.

I've been catching up...and dying laughing! Sounds like you're having an amazing trip! I cannot wait to be there in April!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAWESOME!!!!! Have been following along....and praying for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteWhen we were in that very church, as soon as the music began, I could not stop weeping. Could not stop. Till we walked out with a cranky 18 month old halfway through the sermon. The entire experience was among the most humbling of my life. Will never forget it. There is a remnant...from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. To God be the glory. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is one of the things that I regret not doing while we were in china. Sadly, we forgot all about the church there and no one in our group mentioned it:(
ReplyDeleteAwesome Sonia!!! I think my neighbors met you in China! They are the Hamms and were adopting a little boy - their first adoption. They started describing you and your family and I just knew it had to be you! LOL! I will send them the link to your blog:)
ReplyDeleteOut of all the times we have been in China we have never attended church there... okay, I feeling like I have missed out... I need to go back!
ReplyDeleteSo often it has just been about survival during our adoptions- but I would so love to go to church in China!
