Joey Update!

We have made some tremendous progress the last few days.

Hallelujah!

Nice fingerprint lady is really coming through for me.

I enjoy her phone company.

I think I will send her a pic of Joey and a note saying something like,

"Thank you for helping to bring me home!"

Who knows. She may appreciate it. She may not. Heck, it might even help other families that come after me that she deals with to see the big picture of what she does day in and day out.

Anyhoo, everything is looking good and should be done in the next few days!!

To solve the great fingerprint mystery, the prints have indeed been processed through but it was our DHR form that was holding things up.

Why you ask?

Well.

Four words.

I.

Am.

A.

Loser.

I put my MAIDEN name in the spot where my MIDDLE name was supposed to go so I wasn't showing up in their system.

Hello.

My name is Sonia.

I am a total and complete dork.

So long story short, their IT guy has to go in and fix it and it will be done in a few days.

Home study is now with our agency getting in line to be reviewed which we have been told will take 1-2 weeks. Perfect!! Gives the prints time to catch up, and we are good to go for this giant step of the process!!

Woot-woot!!

Thanks for bearing with me as I ran head first into our first hurdle.

I am learning.

I am a work in progress.

I am sure my hurdling skills will be greatly improved by the end of all of this.

Perhaps I'll be drafted by the Olympic Track Team.

But first I have to go practice the diff between my maiden and middle name.
