Day 4......still happy!
No meltdowns, no tears, just lots of hugs, fun, games, playground, food, snuggles, and smiles.
I think there are a few things working in our favor that has made this transition be the very best it can be.
Praise the Lord for that.
Today was their medical exam.
All went well.
There appears to be some remaining issues medically that we will need to address but I am not the least bit surprised about that. I anticipated this especially considering Joey's size and some things that seem unresolved with Jacob's cleft issues.
But all in good time.
The clinic here cracks me up.
It feels a bit like you have been rocketed back to the 1950's and I kinda felt like I was in an episode of Leave it to Beaver.
Anyone seen the Beav?
The kids are being rockstars, we are all happy,(though exhausted), healthy and having fun hanging out together away from our normal everyday lives......and I for one, have loved seeing my husband out from behind a book for a day or two.
I had kinda forgotten what he looked like.
8 Days till home!

The ring pops are cracking me up! ;) It sounds wonderful to spend some time as a family away from normal life while bonding and getting to know your "new family". ;) Hope you get a bit of rest soon. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteBTW - is there a story to go with the sign?!?
I love the boys matching outfits!! Do it while you can!! I am so happy to hear how well things are going and I agree with the clinic there--very odd compared to here. You'll be home soon.
